Born in Brooklyn, New York during the Hoover administration.
Received primary and secondary education in New York City public school system.
Attended Brooklyn College (Brooklyn, New York), University of Kansas (Lawrence,
Kansas) and Hebrew University (Jerusalem, Israel).
Received a Jewish education at Talmudic institutions in New York City and
Kansas City, Missouri.
Taught at the secondary school level in New York City; Kansas City, Missouri;
Boston Massachusetts; and various locations in Israel.
As an educational consultant, helped establish Talmudic schools in New York
City; Boston, Massachusetts; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania;
and Clifton, New Jersey.
Moved to Israel in 1960 to contribute one year of service to Kibbutz Hafetz
Haim but returned to the US only for visits.
Served as a long time director of The Association of Americans and Canadians
in Israel and as an advisor in the prime ministers office.
Lectured both in the US and Israel on Jewish history, religion, contemporary
Jewish and Israeli affairs.
Wrote numerous articles as a freelance journalist.
Three children (all married), with an ever increasing number of grandchildren
and great grandchildren.
